Lovers in Conversation

Lovers in Conversation Woken up by the sound of lovers in conversation, with frequent hesitations, cause real love knows no words. I am greatly impressed by the chains men seem to shackle and wear aound like neckties; convinced of their freedom. Oh surprise! You're left without something to balance out the act. The ones that you leave will watch from a distance as you circle around your cage. Show me please what I'm missing? Why a relationship is different? Am I losing the big picture if I hardly talk in twos? I've had my share of movie romance. I have acted and auditioned. I changed who I was with make up, but I still can't land the role. So I'm starting to think that I'm just not meant for something good. I'm just passing through. If all that there is to life is multiplying, then mine just won't add up. So count me out.

Not Much Has Changed Thursday night; the rain billowed down. The gutter's howling with my folk's dizzying rounds. Wake up, my son, cause time is running out. Oh weary wanderer, go ahead and do something! I was driving home, post thrills and libations, in and out of sleep. Headlights and screech of tires; saved by the smallest chance. I am the wreckage. Through the looking glass you could see how these twisted limbs have tempted their own fate. And on the other side with rosy eyes, I only saw the planks in front of me. Friday morning, I've forgotten everything. It's like these warning signs were all but some flashing light. All the roads were marked, wrong turns and construction. I chose the wreckage. God help me now, I've lost my brain. There's a sharp dressed man waiting at the door. Smiles when he lies; winsome little bribes, the jig is up they've locked up heaven's gates! Through the hourglass, any fool could see that these stubborn hands have tempted their own fate. And on the other side, I finally saw the light. What is lost is found, what is wrong I will repeat! Not much has changed, the months are chains, not much has changed. Not much has changed, we're all the same, not much has changed.
